Greetings Master Builders! Today’s Featured Luthier Tools is our laser engraving machine! The laser engraver allows a way to etch intricate designs right into our lap steels and guitars. We have done designs such as skulls, planets, rose patterns and more. With the engraver, the most common use is etching our logo and the layout of the fret markers.
This particular laser engraver is on Amazon for a reasonable price, and the software we use is “LaserGRBL” available free online for you to try out. A recommended upgrade for the engraver is an extension kit to increase the print bed to do larger engravings.
